The bullshit asymmetry principle

The Bullshit Asymmetry Principle, also known as Brandolini's Law, states that the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude larger than the energy needed to produce it. Coined in 2013 by Italian programmer Alberto Brandolini, it highlights why misinformation and lies spread so quickly and are incredibly difficult to combat Google summary.
